Throughout his commercial real estate career, Dan Almquist has developed numerous successful and innovative commercial projects. Mr. Almquist formed Frontier Real Estate Investments (FREI) with Robert Jonas to focus specifically on retail development in the Western United States. FREI currently works with numerous national credit tenants and has established itself as an industry leader. Mr. Almquist is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute. He currently serves as the Board Chair of ChildSHARE, which helps find foster and adoptive homes for foster youth. He received a BA in Economics from the University of California San Diego and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.
Robert Jonas Managing Partner
Robert M. Jonas is a member of the California State Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the South Bay Bar Association, and has handled real estate transactions for many large and publicly traded companies via his well-respected law practice. In addition to a successful legal career that spanned more than 40 years, Mr. Jonas formed Frontier Real Estate Investments (FREI) with Dan Almquist to focus specifically on retail development in the Western United States. Mr. Jonas has given back to the community in a variety of ways, including acting as the President of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce, supporting the Boy Scouts of America and the YMCA, and serving on the boards for the Cancer Foundation at South Bay Hospitals and the World Championship Team Penning Finals.
Michael Burnett Corporate Counsel
Frontier’s Corporate Counsel Michael Burnett is a real estate transactional attorney with more than 30 years of experience. Ranked by his peers for the highest levels achievement and professionalism in his field (AV rating), Burnett specializes in commercial real estate transactions related to financing, construction, leasing, acquisitions, sales, options, ground leases and development. Throughout his impressive career, he has represented clients in connection with virtually every kind of real estate project, including raw land, office buildings, shopping centers, warehouse facilities, manufacturing facilities, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, casinos, residential subdivisions, condominium projects, golf courses, marinas, fuel stations, farms and orchards. Burnett received his law degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif and served as an Associate Comment Editor on the Pacific Law Journal.
Natalie Nance Chief Operating Officer
As Frontier’s Chief Operations Officer, Natalie Nance coordinates the ongoing business operations of the firm. She has played an integral role in the company’s impressive growth since its founding and is charged with forecasting and budgeting, coordination of the accounting and human resource departments, and management of the Torrance office. Nance received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley and furthered her education at the University of Pittsburgh.
